eMail Problems - Has anyone had no response from us ?

We have just discovered that mail from shetland.owners.org.uk has been auto-classified as Spam by some major Internet Service Providers, (e.g BtInternet ).

Therefore some of our replies to members have not been received by them, because their eMail server has put it straight into their Bulk or Spam folder, rather than their Inbox.

If you have submitted an application form, and paid via a cheque or Nochex, and had no reply from us, please email us again, and we will reply again via another email address, so that you do receive what you have paid for !!
Our sincere apologies to anyone who has been affected by this, and who may have thought we were ignoring them...

Life Membership

As from today, the £4 membership fee is for the life of the Association.

We are non-profit making, and have always kept our costs to a minimum. Thanks to ever-reducing Internet costs, renewals are no longer required.

All existing members now have life membership.

Thank you for your support.

Beware of False eMails (not) from ShetlandOwners.Org

Today (26 July 2004) we have received a number of emails purporting to have come from 'noreply@shetlandowners.org'
We do not operate an email address of that name. The whole thing appears to be yet another Internet Scam to infect users with viruses. If you recieve such an email do not open the attachment. Please delete the email immediately. Under no circumstances should you run any programs alledged to have come from this website.

On the site we run a comprehensive firewall and anti-virus package with virus signature updates every day. Unfortunately there is nothing anyone can do to prevent hackers from 'spoofing' (imitating) their email address.
